Gyeonggi Tour Pass Directly Promoted by Governor Kim Dong-yeon Doubles Sales in August
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon’s promotion of the ‘Gyeonggi Tour Pass’ last summer has resulted in more than double the sales in August.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that the sales of the Gyeonggi Tour Pass in August reached 7,623 units, more than twice the monthly average of 3,300 units in June and July.
The Gyeonggi Tour Pass, an integrated tourism pass sold since last year, includes over 150 tourist attractions and cafes within the province this year, such as Gwangmyeong Cave, Petite France, Anseong Farmland, and Herb Island. The prices are 19,900 KRW for a 24-hour pass, 25,900 KRW for a 48-hour pass, and 35,900 KRW for a 72-hour pass.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon previously promoted the pass on his social media (SNS) on July 28, saying, "I started my summer vacation with the Gyeonggi Tour Pass. You can use unlimited access to tourist sites across Gyeonggi Province for just around 10,000 KRW per day, making it the best value for money," and added, "How about coming to Gyeonggi Province this summer vacation with the Gyeonggi Tour Pass?"
At that time, Governor Kim visited Yangpyeong Hwang Sun-won Literature Village Sonagi Village, Yangpyeong Seohuri Forest, Yangpyeong The Grimm Botanical Garden, Dongducheon Nolja Forest, and Yangju Bruda Yangju using the Gyeonggi Tour Pass.
Currently, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization aim to sell 30,000 Gyeonggi Tour Passes this year. To achieve this, the number of affiliated stores has increased from about 80 at launch to over 150 now.
