Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam will conduct the '2024 Public Sanitation Service Evaluation (Bathhouse and Laundry Businesses)' until October 18 to enhance the hygiene management standards of public sanitation businesses and improve the quality of service.
The Public Sanitation Service Evaluation is carried out every year with different business types on a biennial cycle. This year’s evaluation targets include 64 lodging businesses, 22 bathhouses, and 16 laundries.
An evaluation team consisting of public health officials in charge of sanitation in Hapcheon County and honorary public health inspectors is conducting on-site investigations and assessments.

Business owners were encouraged to maintain hygiene, provide friendly customer service, and prevent overcharging.
For this evaluation, a team composed of public officials in charge of hygiene and honorary public sanitation inspectors will visit the businesses in person to conduct on-site surveys and evaluations using assessment tools.
The evaluation criteria are divided into three areas: general status, compliance status, and recommendations. Depending on the business type, 30 to 44 items will be checked, including ▲whether the business registration certificate is displayed ▲room management ▲drinking water management ▲posting of price lists, and more.
An official from Hapcheon County stated, "We expect that this Public Sanitation Service Evaluation will improve the hygiene service standards of businesses. We kindly request the active cooperation of business owners to ensure a smooth evaluation process."
