Namyangju City to Open Youth Facilities 'FunGround Dasan·Onam' in October
October 15 Opening of FunGround Dasan - FunGround Onam for 7 Days
Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it will open youth-exclusive facilities, ‘Fun Ground Onam’ and ‘Fun Ground Dasan,’ on October 7 and 15, respectively, to support healthy leisure activities for teenagers.
The newly opening Fun Ground Dasan and Onam are facilities available only to those aged 9 to 24. The city designed the interiors after multiple demand surveys to ensure the spaces serve all youth.
The interiors include a dance practice room, multi-sports area, relaxation zone, study zone, coin karaoke, and self-photo booths. In particular, the dance practice room equipped with a smart mirror is expected to be popular among youth interested in dance and K-pop, while the multi-sports area will help students relieve academic stress and enjoy various physical activities.
Operating hours are from 2 PM to 9 PM on Mondays, from 10 AM to 9 PM Tuesday through Saturday, and from 10 AM to 7 PM on Sundays and public holidays.
With the creation of new youth-exclusive spaces in Dasan-dong and Onam-eup, the city expects teenagers to enjoy creative cultural activities in a comfortable environment.
A Namyangju City official said, “Various performances and celebratory events prepared by youth will be held on the opening days,” adding, “Fun Ground will also be established in Sudong-myeon, which currently lacks youth-exclusive infrastructure, by the second half of next year.”
