Anseong-si to Host '6070 Nostalgic Street Alley Table' on the 27th
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Alley Table' event on the 27th at the '6070 Nostalgia Street' area along Janggi-ro 74beon-gil.
This area, connecting Anseongcheon Stream and the old downtown, was once popular as the 'Soejeon Street' but had lost its vibrancy due to the hollowing out of the old downtown. However, recently, the city’s Urban Regeneration Support Center and the Rural-Urban Exchange Support Center have joined forces to actively promote the revitalization of the old downtown.
This event was planned with direct participation from merchants located on Nostalgia Street to revitalize the old downtown. The event consists of ▲'Alley Table' where merchants of Nostalgia Street participate directly ▲'Alley Flea Market' linked with local merchants ▲an exhibition and experience booths featuring works from urban regeneration resident capacity-building education ▲'Cultural Performances' involving young artists ▲and a nostalgic photo exhibition called 'Alleyway Exhibition.'
Visitors can enjoy various food offerings, experiential programs, and performances.
An event official said, "We expect this event to help revitalize the old downtown and aid in the recovery of the local economy," adding, "We will continue our efforts to develop Nostalgia Street."
