The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsoo) Climate Crisis Response Education Center will pilot the "2024 Ulsan Climate Crisis Response Education Center High School Linked Classes" until November.
The center, which has so far focused on elementary students, has prepared this program to address the challenges of visiting schools due to the unique characteristics of the high school curriculum and to enhance meaningful participation from high school students.
The program will visit five high schools?Hyundai High School, Ulsan Girls' High School, Ulsan Science High School, Sinsun Girls' High School, and Hwabong High School?to conduct 24 sessions of "Global Warming Process and Ocean Acidification Artificial Intelligence Convergence Experiments" for students in environmental and science clubs, supporting their creative experiential activities directly at their schools.
Students will acquire scientific knowledge related to the climate crisis and explore response strategies through experiment- and practice-centered classes.
The center expects that this program will help high school students, as future generations, to develop their capacity to respond to the climate crisis and enhance their sense of social responsibility.
