View original imageThe entrance ceremony took place on the 10th at the Shilla University Art Museum, attended by Kim Sunseok, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, representatives of alumni, the president of the alumni association, and 40 students of the 25th class of the Shilla Seniors Academy.
The 'Shilla Seniors Academy' program has been operated by Shilla University since 2010, under commission from Busan City, to establish a healthy senior culture based on fostering connections among Busan citizens aged 60 and above.
The Lifelong Education Center at Shilla University aims to promote lifelong educational activities among seniors in the western Busan area, offering a variety of programs for the 25th class, including: Understanding and Appreciation of Korean Traditional Music, YouTube Silver Creator, Traditional Tea Ceremony Etiquette, and Everyday Flower Arrangement.
So far, the Shilla Seniors Academy has graduated 1,158 students over 24 classes, who have participated in various volunteer and community activities such as the Hope Sharing Campaign and helping neighbors in need.
A representative from the Lifelong Education Center at Shilla University stated, "We plan to hold lectures every Tuesday and Thursday from September to December, and it is very meaningful to be able to contribute to the healthy leisure life of local seniors."
