Pyeongtaek Port Authority Holds Rice Donation Event for Socially Vulnerable Ahead of Chuseok
Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held a rice donation event ahead of Chuseok, asking for the rice to be delivered to socially vulnerable groups.
View original imageGyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority has completed its Chuseok Love Rice Sharing social contribution project by donating rice to 36 facilities and organizations supporting socially vulnerable groups in the province.
Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced on the 15th that it held rice sharing events twice on the 11th and 12th at the Imae 1-dong Community Center in Seongnam City and the Icheon Disabled Taekwondo Association, with officials in attendance.
The donated rice will be delivered to neighbors experiencing difficulties during the holiday period, including socially vulnerable groups in the province, through each facility and organization.
Kim Seok-gu, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, "I am glad that we could be of some help to our neighbors in need around us this Chuseok," adding, "Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority will continue various sharing activities for marginalized neighbors as a public enterprise that grows and develops together with the local community."
