Opening Ceremony Held on the 5th, Interior and Exterior Remodeling of the Building
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) completed the remodeling construction of the Gae-bong 1-dong Senior Center and held an opening ceremony on the 5th.
About 80 people attended the event, including Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, city and district council members, local seniors, residents, and senior center officials, celebrating the opening ceremony in the order of opening declaration, introduction of guests, congratulatory speeches, facility tour, and meeting.
The Gae-bong 1-dong Senior Center, which received usage approval in 1989, underwent remodeling starting in July 2023 due to aging facilities to enhance residents' safety and convenience, with a total project cost of approximately 290 million KRW.
The main remodeling items included ▲structural reinforcement ▲heating improvement ▲restroom repairs ▲stair repairs ▲removal of various thresholds, carrying out interior and exterior building works.
A Guro-gu official said, "We thank everyone who visited the opening ceremony today," adding, "We will strive to make the senior center a space not only for simple rest but also for harmony and comfortable leisure activities."

The Gae-bong 1-dong Senior Center is a two-story building with a total floor area of 172.7㎡, used by about 60 members, and is fully committed to operating welfare programs for seniors such as heat relief shelters and senior job programs.
