Sambutogeon Grandson Loses 200 Million Loan Repayment Lawsuit Against LG Family Eldest Son-in-Law
Jo Chang-yeon, the grandson of the late Jo Jeong-gu, founder of Sambutogeon, filed a lawsuit demanding that Yoon Kwan, CEO of Blue Run Ventures (BRV) and LG's eldest son-in-law, repay 200 million won, but lost the case.

CEO Yoon is the husband of Koo Yeon-kyung, CEO of the LG Welfare Foundation and eldest daughter of the late Koo Bon-moo, former chairman of LG Group. Jo filed the lawsuit in November last year, claiming that after VSL Korea, a company invested in by CEO Yoon, was selected as the acquirer of the Renaissance Hotel (now Centerfield) site, he lent CEO Yoon 200 million won in cash but has not been repaid.
