Gyeongnam Nonghyup and LG Electronics Changwon Smart Park Sign Agreement to Promote Gyeongnam Rice Consumption and Urban-Rural Exchange
Gyeongnam Nonghyup and LG Electronics Changwon Smart Park signed a mutually beneficial cooperation agreement at the Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation on the 4th to promote the national breakfast campaign and revitalize urban-rural exchange.
Through this agreement, both organizations pledged joint efforts to promote rice consumption and agreed to continue cooperating to revitalize the local economy through social contribution activities such as urban-rural exchange.
Nonghyup is conducting a nationwide rice consumption promotion campaign with a budget of 100 billion KRW to address the difficulties faced by farmers due to unstable rice prices. The organization is also actively promoting the national breakfast campaign and the activation of the rice processed food market.
Kim Sungwoo, Head of H&A Safety, Environment, and Support at LG Electronics, said, "We deeply empathize with the concerns of farmers caused by the decline in rice prices. We will take the lead in revitalizing the local economy by purchasing and using local agricultural products."
