Showcasing the Excellence of 'TANSOME®'
HS Hyosung Group's Hyosung Advanced Materials announced on the 2nd that it will participate in the 'China Composites Expo 2024' held in Shanghai, China from the 2nd to the 4th, promoting the company's carbon fiber brand 'TANSOME®'.
At this exhibition, Hyosung Advanced Materials will promote products made with TANSOME, including high-pressure vessels for hydrogen vehicles, automobile wheels, sports equipment, bicycle frames, rackets, and seat cross members (Seat Cross Member, parts that fix the seat frame and the vehicle floor frame) for electric vehicles, and will hold customer meetings.
The China Composites Expo is Asia's largest international composites industry exhibition. Since its first event in 1988, it has grown continuously and is considered one of the top exhibitions in the composites field. Hyosung Advanced Materials plans to participate again this year following last year to further solidify its position in the global market.

Cho Yong-su, CEO of Hyosung Advanced Materials, said, "Through this exhibition, we will widely promote the excellent quality and technology of 'TANSOME' and actively target global customers by understanding the trends in the carbon fiber market."
Carbon fiber is a material that weighs only about one-quarter of steel but has more than ten times the strength, making it a future advanced material used in various fields such as automobiles, energy, and leisure. Based on proprietary technology, Hyosung Advanced Materials developed Korea's first high-strength carbon fiber 'TANSOME' in 2011. Since operating the Jeonju plant from 2013, it has continued to expand its facilities domestically and internationally.

In 2022, it succeeded in developing the ultra-high-strength carbon fiber 'H3065 (T-1000 grade)', which has more than 14 times the strength of steel. The company plans to expand its entry into the aerospace and aviation sectors.
