'Hwaseong New Campus' is the new headquarters building of ASML Korea, constructed since last year by ASML, the world's number one semiconductor equipment company that exclusively supplies extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography equipment worldwide. The building consists of two towers with 4 basement floors and 11 above-ground floors, covering a total floor area of 74,418㎡. At the groundbreaking ceremony, ASML announced plans to include a management center, remanufacturing center, global training center, and experience center in this campus.
Mayor Jung’s site visit was conducted to inspect the progress of the campus construction, scheduled for completion in August next year, and to review the new investment site.
During the visit, ASML proposed the creation of a 'walking trail' around the ASML site as part of its win-win cooperation plan with local residents. ASML is also actively engaged in social contribution activities with the local community, including donations for vulnerable groups in Hwaseong, volunteer work to improve living conditions at childcare facilities, providing coding education programs for students at Banggyo Elementary School, and participating in West Coast sea cleanup activities.
Mayor Jung stated, "We will spare no administrative support, including the creation of the walking trail, to ensure that ASML settles stably in Hwaseong and becomes a model case of win-win cooperation between the company and the region." He also added, "We hope ASML will continue to show interest and invest in Hwaseong with its new investment projects."
