Yangsan City Launches 'On-site Integrity Consulting' to Improve Transparency
Visiting 65 Departments to Strengthen Public Officials' Integrity Awareness and Achieve a Transparent Yangsan
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, has launched a "Mobile Integrity Consulting" program from the 26th of this month to the 26th of next month, targeting all 65 departments. The goal is to improve integrity by enhancing public officials' understanding of the standards and behaviors they must uphold, ultimately leading to tangible improvements in integrity.
This integrity consulting is conducted by the Audit Office, which visits each department directly to communicate with staff and hold discussions on the theme of integrity. The program aims to bring about real changes that citizens can feel by sharing the values of integrity and raising awareness, identifying and sharing areas vulnerable to corruption, collecting and discussing opinions on ways to improve integrity, and listening to staff concerns and suggestions.
In particular, the integrity consulting is expected to serve as an opportunity to inspire public officials’ sense of integrity and emphasize the need for the efforts of all staff to build a more transparent Yangsan. Through this consulting, each department will have time to identify problems in the current state of integrity and seek ways to improve them.
An official from the Audit Office stated, "Based on the issues and insights identified through this 'Mobile Integrity Consulting,' we plan to continuously improve Yangsan City's integrity," and emphasized, "We hope this consulting will serve as a turning point for Yangsan City to become a first-class city of integrity."
