HiteJinro Holdings, the holding company of HiteJinro, announced on the 28th that it will provide scholarships to the college student children of food service workers facing economic difficulties due to the economic downturn, enabling them to focus on their studies. The company plans to award an annual scholarship of 4 million KRW to selected students enrolled in universities located in Seoul and the metropolitan area, based on criteria such as academic performance and financial need.

On the morning of the same day, Kim In-gyu, CEO of HiteJinro Holdings, presented scholarships to 25 students at the HiteJinro headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul. In particular, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of HiteJinro’s founding this year, the total amount of scholarships was doubled compared to the previous year to express gratitude to workers in the related industry.
CEO Kim stated, "As a 100-year-old company that values people as its greatest asset, supporting scholarships for nurturing talent is a social responsibility we must fulfill. We will continue to expand our scholarship programs so that outstanding students around us can concentrate on their studies without economic difficulties and contribute to social development."
