The Seokbo-myeon Community Social Security Council in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk (Public Chairperson Lee Wonki, Private Chairperson Kim Jindeuk) delivered relief supply sets to eight households of vulnerable elderly people living alone on August 28 to help them cope with the lingering summer heat.

Choi (male, 65), who received the supplies, expressed his gratitude, saying, "This summer has been especially long and hot, making it difficult, but thanks to the supplies from the Seokbo-myeon Community Social Security Council, I think I will be able to get through the rest of the summer well."
Public Chairperson Lee Wonki said, "I hope that the elderly can spend a happier and safer summer, even if just a little," and added, "As forecasts predict that the heat will intensify every year due to abnormal climate conditions, we will pay closer attention to support plans for vulnerable groups and work even more thoroughly to identify those in welfare blind spots."
