Gyeonggi-do Holds 'RE100 Response Strategy Briefing' for Exporting SMEs
On the 27th, Gyeonggi Province held the "2024 RE100 Response Strategy Briefing for Exporting Small and Medium Enterprises for Sustainable Growth" jointly with the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center and the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration.

On the 27th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it held the "2024 RE100 Response Strategy Briefing for Export SMEs for Sustainable Growth" at the 3rd-floor conference room of the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, jointly with the Gyeonggi FTA Trade Promotion Center and the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, introducing the current status of RE100 and support systems.
At the briefing, Jeong Taek-jung, CEO of the Korea Energy Convergence Association, presented on ▲ changes in the business environment in response to the climate crisis ▲ current status of domestic climate crisis response ▲ domestic and international RE100 trends and implementation plans ▲ domestic response measures. Following this, Ji Young-seung, director of the Korea RE100 Council, introduced government and Gyeonggi Province support systems for RE100 implementation.
Moon Doo-sik, head of the International Trade Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through the promotion of ‘Gyeonggi RE100,’ Gyeonggi Province is leading efforts to achieve renewable energy production and carbon neutrality results by 2026 across companies and industrial sectors," adding, "Together with the Gyeonggi FTA Center, we will continue to provide multifaceted support to SMEs in the province to achieve RE100 goals."

RE100 aims for companies to use 100% renewable energy electricity for their power consumption by 2050. Gyeonggi Province is addressing renewable energy and the climate crisis through ‘Gyeonggi RE100,’ installing solar power facilities on factory roofs or idle land, and supplying the renewable energy generated there to factories within complexes and external companies, promoting initiatives such as ‘Industrial Complex RE100’ and ‘Corporate RE100.’
