'Dunchon Youth Culture House' Hosts the 'Dangchan Festival' Attended by 38,000 Visitors
Standing Tall as a Youth Leisure Culture Space One Year After Opening
Seoul Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Su-hee) will operate the "Dangchan Festival" from the 28th to the 31st to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the opening of the Gangdong-gu Dunchon Youth Culture House.
During the event period, the district will run various programs with different daily themes, including leathercraft, woodworking experiences, and sports challenges. On the last day, the 31st, there will be a 1st anniversary ceremony, busking performances, magic shows, experience booths, and photo zones. Any children and youth can participate, and program applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue on the day of the event.
The Dunchon Youth Culture House, a youth complex cultural facility, opened on September 2nd last year. The district supports youth to participate in various experiential and cultural emotional activities here and helps them create a creative and healthy culture on their own.
Since its opening last year until July this year, a total of about 38,000 people have visited. In particular, programs linked to school subjects and creative career activities have received positive responses from the community, with three nearby elementary and middle schools consistently participating.
Among the facilities at the Dunchon Youth Culture House, the "Play Zone," created as a leisure space for youth, is equipped with motion sports devices that recognize movement to enjoy sports and board games, making it popular among youth seeking unique leisure activities.
