'Guro-gu Restaurant Murder' Man in His 50s Arrested... "Risk of Escape"
A man in his 50s, a Chinese national, was arrested for fatally stabbing a Chinese ethnic Korean at a restaurant in Guro-gu, Seoul.
On the 26th, Han Jeong-seok, chief judge of the Seoul Southern District Court, held a pre-arrest detention hearing for Mr. A, who is charged with murder and violation of the Immigration Control Act, and issued an arrest warrant citing "risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of stabbing Mr. B with a weapon at a restaurant in Guro-gu around 9:10 p.m. on the 24th, resulting in Mr. B's death.
Mr. A fled immediately after the crime and was apprehended by police about 2 hours and 40 minutes later at a lodging facility in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.
