S-Oil Conducts Volunteer Activity for Releasing Natural Monument Eoreumchi Fry
Release of Approximately 54,000 Fish Over 15 Years
S-OIL announced on the 26th that, together with the Korea Freshwater Fish Conservation Association and the Environmental Foundation, it conducted a volunteer activity on the 24th releasing fry of the natural monument fish Eoreumchi at the waterside in front of Georigi Park in Cheonnae-ri, Jewon-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, with about 200 employees and their families.

Participants recognized the cultural and ecological value and importance of the natural monument through Eoreumchi ecological education and carried out an ecological experience by releasing 5,000 Eoreumchi fry into the Geum River.
Since 2010, S-OIL has signed a 'Natural Monument Eoreumchi Protection Campaign' agreement with the Korea Freshwater Fish Conservation Association and has supported species conservation and restoration for 15 years. So far, starting from Hongcheon, Gangwon, to Okcheon, Chungbuk, and Geumsan, Chungnam, about 2,500 employees and their families have participated in volunteer activities, releasing approximately 54,000 Eoreumchi fry.
