LS Cable & System announced on the 26th that it will participate in the "2024 International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE)" exhibition held from the 25th to the 30th (local time) in Paris, France, together with LS Electric.
CIGRE is an international organization established in 1921 to share the latest technologies and research achievements in the power sector. It holds academic conferences and exhibitions biennially. This year’s event will host over 290 companies and institutions from 120 countries to discuss the future of the power industry.
At this exhibition, LS Cable & System and LS Electric will present a superconducting solution for IDC composed of a superconducting cable system and a superconducting current limiter. The superconducting solution is an innovative technology that transmits large-capacity power at 154 kV level with a low voltage of 22.9 kilovolts (kV) without the need for substations.
LS Cable & System will exhibit its HVDC submarine cables. LS Electric will unveil the latest power grid technologies and products, including eco-friendly switching devices for substations.
