Real-Life Figure from the Movie 'Chugyeokja' Sent to Prosecution on Methamphetamine Sales Charges
The owner of a brothel who helped capture serial killer Yoo Young-chul and became the inspiration for the movie 'The Chaser' has been arrested and sent to prosecution on charges of drug sales.
According to the police on the 21st, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul handed over a man in his 50s, Mr. Noh, who is accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act (methamphetamine sales), to the prosecution while in custody on the 14th.
Previously, Mr. Noh was accused of selling methamphetamine, a narcotic, to an unidentified person.
On the 7th, the police arrested Mr. Noh on related charges and applied for an arrest warrant. The court conducted a pre-trial detention hearing on the 9th and issued the arrest warrant, citing "risk of flight."
Mr. Noh is the owner of a nightlife worker dispatch agency (brothel) in Gangnam. It is known that in July 2004, he, along with other owners, helped capture serial killer Yoo Young-chul.
