COVID-19 Cases Rising... Ulsan City Redistributes Prevention Guidelines Leaflets
Ulsan City has urged citizens to comply with the 'COVID-19 Infection Prevention Guidelines' as the spread of COVID-19 continues to increase.
COVID-19 is a highly contagious infectious disease transmitted through the respiratory tract. Its fatality rate is about 0.1%, similar to that of seasonal influenza. However, the fatality rate is particularly high among the elderly, so extra caution is needed for this group. The fatality rate is 0.11% for those aged 60-69, 0.4% for those aged 70-79, and 1.75% for those aged 80 and above.
In response, Ulsan City has produced and distributed promotional posters and informational leaflets on COVID-19 prevention guidelines to relevant organizations, district and county health centers, and the medical association to help citizens practice preventive measures.
In daily life, the following practices help prevent infection: ▲Washing hands with soap under running water for at least 30 seconds ▲Ventilating indoor spaces for 10 minutes every 2 hours ▲Covering your mouth and nose with your sleeve or a tissue when coughing ▲Wearing a mask in crowded and enclosed indoor spaces.
If you are infected with COVID-19: ▲Wear a mask to protect others ▲Refrain from unnecessary gatherings ▲If you have severe fever or respiratory symptoms, rest at home and resume daily activities only after symptoms have disappeared ▲Workplaces are also advised to allow sick members to take sick leave and rest.
For high-risk groups: ▲Wear a mask when using crowded and enclosed public facilities ▲Refrain from participating in large indoor gatherings ▲Visit a hospital promptly if you develop fever or respiratory symptoms.
For medical institutions and facilities vulnerable to infection: ▲Staff, caregivers, and visitors should wear masks ▲Staff with fever or respiratory symptoms should refrain from work ▲Ventilate indoor spaces for 10 minutes every 2 hours.
