This year's Ulji Exercise comprehensively examines crisis response and emergency preparedness capabilities, reflecting the current grave security situation on the Korean Peninsula, such as North Korea's recent balloon launches filled with filth and missile provocations.
The county plans to enhance its integrated response capabilities by organizing a wartime organization for rapid transition to a wartime system, holding discussions on wartime issues, conducting practical training, and carrying out tabletop exercises. In particular, on the final day of the Ulji Exercise, the 22nd, an air raid warning will be issued to simulate an air raid situation, and a nationwide civil defense evacuation drill with public participation will also be conducted.
County Governor Nam Hankwon said, "There may be some inconveniences during the training period, but I hope everyone will actively participate with the mindset of protecting your families and ensuring the safety of us all."
