Chungnam Patrol Car Begins Second Mission in Laos
Twenty Cars and Five Motorcycles Shipped to Laos
The patrol cars that have been responsible for the safety of Chungnam residents are now ready to serve the people of Laos.
The Chungnam Provincial Police Commission held a shipment ceremony for police equipment to be officially provided to Laos at the provincial government building on the 14th.
Twenty cars and five motorcycles, which have been fully serviced, are expected to arrive in Laos around the 20th of next month.
Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding to strengthen friendly cooperation with Laos in 2022, the province decided to provide patrol cars. To this end, a dedicated team was formed with the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency, and patrol cars and motorcycles that had exceeded their legal service period were refurbished.
Prior to the patrol cars, the province had also provided 32 ambulances, 600 PCs, and 300 sets of desks and chairs.
Governor Kim Taeheum said, "The police cars that have protected the safety of our province will now begin their second mission, elevating public security in Laos across the sea. The efforts of the province and related organizations will pave a new path for official development assistance and serve as a leading model for international exchanges by local governments."
