At the Police Commissioner inauguration ceremony that afternoon, Commissioner Jo said, "We will root out organized and specialized criminal groups and cut the links in the crime ecosystem," adding, "We will relentlessly track and recover criminal proceeds and funding sources to fundamentally block criminal intent."
Commissioner Jo emphasized, "We will build a fair society based on law and common sense. When the rule of law becomes chaotic, cheating and privilege prevail, and the damage first falls on ordinary citizens. We will thoroughly protect legality but never yield to illegality, confronting it with composure and confidence. We will also eradicate corruption and misconduct that disrupt fair competition and market order. In law enforcement, we will apply the same standards and consistent criteria to everyone."
Commissioner Jo stated, "In the face of a severe security reality, we will firmly safeguard the nation's identity. As the police take charge of counterintelligence investigations, some have expressed concerns about security gaps. As a core pillar of the national security system, we will establish a solid security posture to dispel public concerns. We will not hesitate to invest and support the expansion of all systems and institutions to allow long-term dedication to counterintelligence investigations. We will train elite personnel and develop core cyber security technologies to counter cyberattacks and terrorism, where a silent war is fiercely waged in real time."
