'Drunk Assault on Woman' Allegation Against Ssokbangchon Activist... Referred to Prosecution
An activist from a jjokbangchon (small room village) who is accused of assaulting a woman he was drinking with has been referred to the prosecution.
According to the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul on the 9th, Choi, a man in his 50s and an activist in a jjokbangchon in Seoul, was sent to the prosecution on assault charges. Choi is accused of assaulting a woman in her 50s who was drinking with him at a restaurant near Bulgwang Station around 9 p.m. on the 17th of last month.
The victim is an acquaintance whom Choi met while she served as an interpreter and guide during his visit to Taiwan in the past, and she is reported to be complaining of bruises and other injuries.
