Wando-gun Hosts Chimaek Festival... From Marine Healing Busking to EDM Party
Held at the plaza next to Wando Marine Healing Center located in Sinji Myeongsasip-ri
Jeonnam Wando-gun, the "No. 1 Marine Healing Destination," will hold the "2024 Marine Healing Chimaek Festival" for two days from the 9th to the 10th.
According to Wando-gun on the 6th, this festival was organized to promote the marine healing industry, a key project of the county, and the programs of the Wando Marine Healing Center, as well as to provide special content for tourists visiting Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach.
The festival will take place at the plaza next to the Wando Marine Healing Center (Wandorini), located in the Sinji Myeongsashipri area, from 4 PM to 10 PM on the 9th and 10th.
On the 9th at 4:30 PM, the event will kick off with a non-alcoholic beer drinking contest, followed by marine healing busking live performances from 5 PM to 7 PM, and a Summer Night EDM Party from 8:30 PM to 9 PM, along with nighttime performances and a marine healing beer zone.
At the marine healing beer zone, cool draft beer, chicken, various finger foods, "Dasi, Maju," a soju collaboratively made by Wando-gun and Bohae Brewery, and handcrafted beer made directly by the Wando Tourism Association will be sold at affordable prices.
A total of six teams will participate in the marine healing busking live, and the Summer Night EDM Party will feature an exciting performance combining a DJ and a street dance team.
Expecting many summer visitors to the Chimaek Festival, the county has established a safety management plan and formed a cooperative system with related organizations such as the Wando Police Station, as well as emergency medical support teams and on-site response teams to do their best to prevent safety accidents.
