Criticism Grows Over Some Vacationers' Nuisance Behavior
As the peak vacation season began earlier this month, some 'inconsiderate vacationers' are causing frustration among citizens. While some are washing dishes and pots in the valley, others were spotted bathing by the water.
On the 5th, JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' reported that on the 3rd, some vacationers' inconsiderate behavior was captured at Seowon Valley in Boeun-gun, Chungbuk. Informant A said, "The water used to rinse the dishes flowed downwards, and the charcoal ashes from the fire they made were scattered all around," adding, "Although the valley itself is a designated cooking area, we had no choice but to avoid the spot."

View original imageAnother informant, B, revealed that male and female vacationers bathed using soap in the Hongcheon River in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon. B said, "I discovered this while vacationing with my family," and added, "I am reporting this hoping it will never happen again."
Photos shared by the informants show vacationers rinsing pots used for cooking food in the valley water. There were also images of people washing off soap from their faces in the flowing valley water.
