Kim Ung-ki Global Seara Chairman's Second Daughter Promoted to CEO
Sim Cheol-sik, Vice President of Ssangyong Construction, Also Promoted to CEO
Global SeAH Group announced on the 5th that, as of the 1st of this month, Shim Cheol-sik, Executive Vice President of Management at Ssangyong Construction, and Kim Jin-ah, Executive Vice President of Global SeAH Group, have been promoted and appointed as Co-CEOs of Global SeAH.
Global SeAH Group will operate under a dual CEO system centered on the two newly appointed CEOs. Vice Chairman Kim Ki-myung has resigned from his CEO position to focus on his role as Executive Vice Chairman of Global SeAH Group. This promotion aligns with the management strategy aimed at enabling Global SeAH Group to achieve faster internal growth through the specialized expertise of each CEO.
CEO Kim Jin-ah joined SeAH Trading in 2009 and, following the launch of Global SeAH as the group’s holding company in 2015, served as Head of Global SeAH’s Strategic Planning Office and Executive Vice President of the group before being appointed CEO through this executive reshuffle.
CEO Shim Cheol-sik, with extensive and balanced experience across major affiliates including SeAH Trading, Taelim Packaging, and Ssangyong Construction, will be responsible for the group’s overall financial accounting and new investment sectors.
Additionally, Lee Bok-jin, CEO of Taelim Packaging and Taelim Paper, has been appointed as CEO of Jeonju Paper, serving alongside Vice President CEO Jeong Dong-ha as co-CEOs.
