Ulsan City Conducts On-Site Inspections at Three Major Road Construction Sites
Daun-Gulhwa Connecting Road Construction Site, etc.
On the 5th, Ulsan Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs Ahn Seungdae will visit three major road construction sites, including the Daun~Gulhwa Connection Road project.
Deputy Mayor Ahn will inspect three locations: the Daun~Gulhwa Connection Road project, the Munsu-ro Bypass Road project, and the Samdong~KTX Ulsan Station Road project.
The Daun~Gulhwa Connection Road is a project being promoted to alleviate traffic congestion around the Daun Intersection area, following the development of the Ulsan Daun 2 Public Housing District.
After Jung-gu completed a feasibility study in April and requested the road construction from Ulsan City, this site visit aims to prepare promotion plans for inclusion in the '5th Metropolitan Area Congested Road Improvement Plan (2026~2030)'.
Next, he will visit the 'Munsu-ro Bypass Road' site. Munsu-ro is a main arterial road connecting the city center, but due to increasing traffic and the development of apartment complexes, as well as the opening of the Ulsan Urban Railway (Tram Line 1), a bypass road is being constructed to alleviate chronic congestion.
He will visit the Jeongtosa area to check the construction site and develop strategies to persuade the central government for the inclusion of the bypass road plan in the '5th Metropolitan Area Congested Road Improvement Plan (2026~2030)'.
Lastly, he will visit the 'Samdong~KTX Ulsan Station Road' site. This road is a project promoted by Ulsan City to establish an east-west arterial road connecting the western and southern regions of Ulsan. He plans to check the progress and future schedule of the project.

Deputy Mayor Ahn Seungdae said, "I urge related departments to actively propose that the Munsu-ro Bypass Road and Daun~Gulhwa Connection Road projects be included in the national plan," and added, "For the currently planned congested and metropolitan road projects, I will do my best to secure national funding for project implementation through active consultations with the central government."
