March Release of 'Asia-Pacific Regional Hub Attraction Report'
The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) announced on the 30th that it has published the "2024 Domestic Business Environment Insight Report," which organizes important issues in trade relations between Korea and the United States by industry sector.
AMCHAM publishes this report regularly every year. This year's report is particularly noteworthy as it was released as part of efforts to enhance Korea's national competitiveness as the Asia-Pacific regional headquarters. Earlier, in March, AMCHAM published the "Strategy Report on Attracting Global Companies to Korea as the Asia-Pacific Regional Hub" and submitted policy recommendations to the Presidential Office at the board level.
Through the report, AMCHAM focuses on key matters and the latest trends in Korea-US trade relations, including the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), expecting it to contribute to improving the domestic business environment and strengthening Korea-US trade relations. The report summarizes trends by detailed sectors such as aerospace and defense/agriculture and food & beverage/alcohol/automobiles/chemicals/digital economy/energy and environment/financial services/pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and life sciences.
