G·G·G Go 60!, ‘QRPR Marathon’... Participate Wearing QR Code Bibs for Company or Group Promotion
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will hold the "19th G Valley Smart Marathon" across the entire G Valley (Seoul Digital Industrial Complex) 1st to 3rd complexes on September 3.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean Industrial Complex and to further enhance the significance and symbolism of the marathon, Guro-gu expanded the existing G Valley Smart Marathon, which was held in G Valley 1st Complex, to include G Valley 2nd and 3rd Complexes in collaboration with Geumcheon-gu.
The G Valley Smart Marathon will be held on September 3, the second day of the "G Valley WEEK" festival.
The event’s catchphrase is "G·G·G Go 60!" representing the G’s of G Valley, Guro, and Geumcheon, the word "Go" symbolizing moving toward the future, and commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Korean Industrial Complex. This phrase was selected based on feedback from companies within G Valley.
Celebrating its 19th edition, the G Valley Smart Marathon features a unique concept called "Promote Your Company with QR!, QRPR Marathon!" where companies or organizations in G Valley run while wearing race bibs embedded with QR codes that explain their products and corporate activities.
This year’s course is approximately 4.5 km, starting from Daeryung Poster Tower 8th Plaza (Guro-gu), passing under the overpass in front of Yeongil Elementary School, through Gasan Digital Complex Station, and ending at Seoul Digital Sports Ground (Geumcheon-gu).
Additionally, to prevent traffic congestion during commuting hours, the marathon time has been changed from the morning to 2 PM, expecting higher participation from office workers.
Various event activities are also prepared.
Before the marathon, there will be a stage event called "Open Your Heart, G Valley Workers," where office workers express their inner thoughts, along with awards such as the G Valley Quiz Prize, Best Photo Award, and QR Design Award, plus prizes, making it a rich and enjoyable event.
Participation is free for G Valley entrepreneurs, office workers, and all Guro-gu residents. Applications can be submitted through the marathon website or by scanning the QR code on the poster until August 23.
Furthermore, to prevent safety accidents caused by large crowds, safety management personnel will be deployed throughout the venue, and an integrated safety headquarters and medical support center will be established and operated on-site. Close cooperation with Guro and Geumcheon Police Stations, the Model Drivers Association, and medical institutions will be maintained to minimize traffic control inconveniences and ensure safe event operation.
