Dong-A University Discusses Exchange and Cooperation Plans with Three Educational Institutions in Hawaii
Collaboration to Attract Outstanding Hawaiian High School Students
Support for 'K-Education' in AI and Software Fields
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 25th that it has discussed cooperation and exchange plans with three educational institutions based in Hawaii.
Representatives from three institutions in Hawaii?International Mid Pac College (English language college), Kalani High School (high school), and Island Pacific Academy (special-purpose high school)?recently visited Dong-A University and had a meeting with President Lee, Park Hyuntae, Director of International Affairs, and officials from the International Exchange Department.
The recent meeting held at the Seunghak Campus of Dong-A University was attended by President Lee, Park Hyuntae, Director of International Affairs, Jang Sangmok, former Dean of the College of Engineering, Kwan Jay Cho, President of International Mid Pac College (IMPAC), Gerald Teramae, Principal of Island Pacific Academy, as well as a career counselor and students from Kalani High School.
Kwan Jay Cho, President of IMPAC, along with officials from the Hawaii Department of Education, also visited Dong-A University in July last year to discuss ways to promote international exchange, including joint efforts for the education and advancement of high school students from Hawaii.
President Lee stated, "Through attracting students from Hawaii, we will actively work not only on STEM education such as AI, software, engineering, and healthcare, but also on 'K-education' including cultural heritage and Korean language, as well as providing scholarship support," adding, "I hope there will be much cooperation so that these students can be nurtured as talented individuals."

Kwan Jay Cho, President of IMPAC and an alumnus of Dong-A University who led this visiting group, said, "I am delighted to visit my alma mater again following last year, and I will strive to continue many exchanges with Dong-A University."
