RaonSecure's Japanese Subscription-Based Biometric Authentication Service Surpasses 5 Million MAU
RaonSecure's subscription-based biometric authentication (FIDO) service monthly active users (MAU) in Japan has increased by 1 million since the end of last year, surpassing 5 million and continuing its growth trend.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Lee Soon-hyung, Lee Jung-ah) announced that the monthly active users (MAU) of its subscription-based biometric authentication service "TouchEn OnePass," launched in Japan, reached 5.1 million as of the end of June, marking the first time the service has exceeded 5 million users since its launch.
RaonSecure's TouchEn OnePass is a cloud-based subscription biometric authentication service applying FIDO technology, which was the first in the world to receive FIDO Certified global certification from the FIDO Alliance.
Based on the continuous increase in users of the subscription biometric authentication service, RaonSecure is also focusing on diversifying its business within the Japanese digital authentication market. Last year, it signed a business agreement with NetMove Corporation, a subsidiary of Sumishin SBI Net Bank, a leading internet-only bank in Japan, to collaborate on multi-factor authentication (MFA) platforms and FIDO2-related businesses.
Recently, in addition to the financial sector, RaonSecure has been supplying TouchEn OnePass to Japanese research and educational institutions, increasing its market share in the education sector. Furthermore, in the first half of this year, it conducted a proof of concept (PoC) for credential linkage based on OmniOne Digital ID with a major Japanese corporation, and in the second half, it is pushing forward with PoCs for credential linkage based on OmniOne Digital ID with IT companies providing My Number services, accelerating its entry into the digital credential market. RaonSecure plans to continue increasing its market share through active sales activities based on the references it has secured in Japan so far.
