Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Donates 20 Million Won to Busan World Volunteer Conference
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters provided 20 million KRW in sponsorship on the 23rd to support the successful hosting of the 27th IAVE Busan World Volunteer Conference.

View original imageOn the 23rd, Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters held a sponsorship delivery ceremony for the Busan World Volunteer Conference at its PR center located in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, and presented 20 million KRW to the Busan Volunteer Center.
This sponsorship will be used as operating expenses for the Busan World Volunteer Conference to be held in October. Part of the sponsorship was raised through the Love Fund, which consists of voluntary donations from employees, adding further significance.
The Busan World Volunteer Conference is the world's largest conference in the field of volunteering, held under the theme "The Power of Humanity: Creating a Sustainable Future through Volunteering." It will bring together over 1,400 participants from more than 80 countries, including volunteer professionals from around the world.
Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will participate in this conference to promote its customized social contribution activities as a leading public enterprise in the region.
Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters operates the Kori Volunteer Corps, consisting of about 1,500 members, to support the resolution of local inconveniences and disaster recovery, fulfilling its responsibilities as a member of the local community.
Major volunteer activities include "Improvement of Housing Conditions for Vulnerable Groups," "Side Dish and Kimchi Sharing Volunteer Activities," "Village Regeneration and Environmental Cleanup Activities," "Support for Installation of Heating Mats and Blood Pressure Monitors for the Elderly," and "Medical Consultation and Treatment Support Volunteer Activities." Through these and other programs tailored to various groups, the organization is striving for the development of the local community.
Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Director Lee Gwanghun stated, "We will continue to plan and carry out various sharing activities to spread warmth in the community, fulfill our corporate social responsibilities, and strive for mutual growth with the region."
