The Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Son Sang-hee) announced on the 23rd that they have arrested and indicted a 22-year-old woman, A, on charges including special injury, coercion, extortion, and forced molestation.
According to the prosecution, from March to June of last year, A allegedly forced the victim, B (21), to self-harm with a knife, eat food waste and dog excrement, as well as extorted money and molested her.
A met B, who was a high school senior preparing for college entrance exams in 2021, through SNS, pretending to have spiritual powers and demanded to live together. During the prosecution’s investigation, A reportedly claimed to be a shaman.
From November 2022, when A and B began living together, A psychologically dominated B by threatening that harm would come to B’s family if she did not obey. In particular, from March to June of last year, A assaulted B for not obeying and extorted 3 million won from her.
