The Presidential Office announced on the 21st that it plans to "support the rapid emergency restoration by making full use of available resources, including the payment of special grants for emergency restoration of damaged facilities" related to the heavy rain damage.

Spokesperson Jeong said, "Following the prior declaration of special disaster zones for five regions on the 15th, damage assessments are currently underway for additional area declarations," adding, "Additional special disaster zones will be promptly declared based on the damage assessment results."
