The “Janggeumi Partnership Project,” which combines “Jang” (market) and “Geum” (financial institution), has been promoted since 2023 to improve the financial environment for traditional market merchants.
This year, the project has been expanded as “Janggeumi On & On,” carrying the dual meaning of continuing to provide financial fraud prevention support and customized financial services with warmth and care.
Under this agreement, Busan Bank plans to provide customized financial services to Gukje Market, Dongnae Market, and Jagalchi Market, including: ▲ establishment of an emergency hotline for financial fraud prevention ▲ support for free subscription to voice phishing compensation insurance ▲ special installment savings for small business owners ▲ special preferential business loans.
At the ceremony, the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups and the Busan-Ulsan branch of the Financial Supervisory Service also held an appointment ceremony for “Financial Security Officers” at traditional markets, who will carry out activities to prevent financial crimes that threaten the livelihoods of market merchants and local residents.
Kim Sanghun, Chief Consumer Protection Officer (CCO) of Busan Bank, said, “Busan Bank will continue to discover and provide customized financial services for the prevention of financial fraud and the revitalization of local traditional markets to support local small business owners.”
