West Sea Coast Guard Agency Attends Red Tide Control Drill... Protecting Coastal Waters Safety
Support Provided by Aircraft and Control Boats for Red Tide Prevention Drill Led by Jeonnam Provincial Government
The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim In-chang) announced on the 18th that it participated in a red tide control simulation drill organized by the Jeonnam Provincial Government to prevent damage to aquaculture farms caused by red tides during the summer and to strengthen cooperation in control activities.
The drill was conducted in the area from Nokdong Port to Wudu offshore in Goheung County, proceeding in the order of red tide monitoring, loess spraying, emergency control, and cage relocation. The West Sea Coast Guard Agency supported the operation with one fixed-wing aircraft and one control vessel to enhance response capabilities.
