The AWOO dolls featured in this event, which has been held since 2015, are easy-to-make cloth dolls. The name "AWOO" carries the meaning of "younger sibling" as well as "Beautiful Us" and "Embracing Together."
The 8 million won in AWOO doll adoption donations raised through this contest will be used by UNICEF to help children around the world suffering from diseases such as measles and malaria.
BMC and UNICEF added to the enjoyment by presenting participants with various souvenirs, including first aid kits.
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Urban Corporation, said, "I hope this event will be an opportunity for participating children to learn and practice the value of sharing," and emphasized, "Arpina will go beyond simple donations and volunteer work to carry out various community sharing activities closely connected with local residents."
