Changwon Special City Discusses Major Economic Issues with Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The 3rd Meeting of the Changwon Economic Council Held
On the 15th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the third meeting of the Changwon Economic Council in the third conference room at City Hall.
The Changwon Economic Council was established as a permanent consultative body after Mayor Hong Nam-pyo took office, serving as a communication channel for discussing major local economic issues and sharing policies between the city and the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The council consists of a total of 24 members, including division chairpersons of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, heads of business organizations, representatives of major companies in Changwon, directors and special advisors from the city, special advisors for the defense industry and nuclear power, and the president of the Changwon Industry Promotion Agency.

View original imageThe meeting began with a progress report from the city on the agenda items discussed in the previous session, followed by an open discussion on the third set of proposals from the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry proposed establishing a joint support system for resident foreigners and holding a joint IR event for listed companies in the Changwon area. The city pledged to actively incorporate the various opinions of the participants so that the proposed items could be reflected in municipal administration.
Mayor Hong said, "I am grateful to the companies that are striving for innovation and growth despite difficult circumstances," and added, "This is a meaningful opportunity to listen to voices from the field and discuss policy directions for regional development together. We will actively reflect the various opinions raised today to achieve tangible results."
Chairman Choi Jaeho said, "The Changwon Economic Council serves as a communication channel to deliver the voices of companies on the ground to the city," and added, "We will continue to suggest various ideas and opinions to contribute to the development of the Changwon area."
