View original imageThe Daejeon City Council held the 4th plenary session of its 280th extraordinary meeting on the 15th and completed the formation of its standing committee chairpersons.
Through elections held on the same day, the council selected Jeong Myeongguk (People Power Party, Dong-gu 3) as Chairperson of the Administrative and Autonomy Committee, Lee Hyoseong (People Power Party, Daedeok-gu 1) as Chairperson of the Welfare and Environment Committee, Song Inseok (People Power Party, Dong-gu 1) as Chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee, and Lee Geumseon (People Power Party, Yuseong-gu 4) as Chairperson of the Education Committee.
Subsequently, each standing committee held meetings to appoint Lee Yonggi (People Power Party, Daedeok-gu 3) as Vice Chairperson of the Administrative and Autonomy Committee, Lee Hanyeong (People Power Party, Seo-gu 6) as Vice Chairperson of the Welfare and Environment Committee, Kim Seongwang (People Power Party, Jung-gu 2) as Vice Chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee, and Min Gyeongbae (People Power Party, Jung-gu 3) as Vice Chairperson of the Education Committee.
The Daejeon City Council plans to hold the 5th plenary session on the 17th to elect the Chairperson of the Steering Committee, and will hold standing committee meetings on the 16th and 18th to hear major work reports for the second half of the year and review general agenda items.
