Five Finalists from Pukyong National University Pass Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Exam

Pukyong National University (President Jang Youngsoo) announced on the 15th that five of its students have passed the 2024 Regional Talent Grade 7 Probationary Staff Recruitment Examination.
According to the university, five students from Pukyong National University passed the final selection for this exam administered by the Ministry of Personnel Management: Koo Yoonjung (School of Business Administration) and Lee Eunbin (Department of Marine and Fisheries Business) in the administrative group, and Shin Dongwook (Department of Nano Convergence Engineering), Lee Sunghyun (Department of Computer Engineering), and Choi Yunhee (Department of Electrical Engineering) in the science and technology group.
The Regional Talent Grade 7 Probationary Staff Recruitment Examination was introduced in 2005 to strengthen regional representation in public service and diversify recruitment channels. Candidates within the top 10% of their graduating class (or expected graduates) are recommended by their departments and selected through a written test, document screening, and interview.
This year, a total of 172 candidates passed the exam nationwide, including 108 in the administrative group and 64 in the science and technology group. The successful candidates, including those from Pukyong National University, will complete basic training in the first half of next year and then serve a one-year probationary period at central government agencies before being officially appointed as Grade 7 public officials.
Pukyong National University has produced a total of 68 successful candidates so far, thanks to its systematic support programs for the Regional Talent Grade 7 Probationary Staff Recruitment Examination.

On July 4, Pukyong National University held an on-campus briefing session to introduce the examination system, and plans to select candidates for next year's recommendations in December.
