On the 15th, the civic group Seomin Minsaeng Countermeasure Committee (Seominwi) announced that it had reported President Chung to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges of obstruction of business, breach of trust in the course of business, and intimidation.
In the complaint, Seominwi stated, "Despite numerous opposing opinions, appointing Coach Hong Myung-bo through a written resolution of the board of directors constitutes obstruction of business by intimidation, and deciding on Coach Hong's salary without proper consultation amounts to breach of trust in the course of business."
Furthermore, regarding the Korea Football Association's indication of legal action after former national team player Park Joo-ho, who served as a member of the National Team Strengthening Committee, exposed procedural issues in the coach appointment, Seominwi said, "This is intimidation not only against Mr. Park but also against the public."
