Won Mansik, Former Jeonju MBC President, Appointed as President of Gugak Broadcasting
"I will seek various changes"
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism appointed Won Mansik, head of the broadcasting headquarters at Gugak FM, as the president of Gugak FM on the 15th. His term will last until September next year.
President Won previously worked as an entertainment PD at MBC, directing traditional Korean music programs such as 'Jeonju Daesaseupnori.' He served as president of Jeonju MBC and as a member of the Press Arbitration Commission before taking the position of head of the broadcasting headquarters at Gugak FM in March last year.
Minister Yoo In-chon of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated, "With the enforcement of the Gugak Promotion Act, active roles of Gugak FM are expected, and I hope the new president will expand the foundation of Gugak FM."
