Gwangju Seo-gu to Host Academy with Professor Yuhongjun on the 18th

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 15th that it will hold the 114th Seo-gu Academy by inviting Professor Yu Hongjun, the author of "My Cultural Heritage Exploration," at 2 p.m. on the 18th in the Deulbul Hall of Seo-gu Office.

Professor Yu Hongjun, who debuted in 1981 with an art critique in the Dong-A Ilbo New Year's Literary Contest, wrote "My Cultural Heritage Exploration," the first humanities book to become a million-seller, based on his field experience through the Korean Cultural Heritage Exploration Society. He has served as a professor and museum director at Yeungnam University, dean of the Graduate School of Culture and Arts at Myongji University, and commissioner of the Cultural Heritage Administration.

As an authority in the field of Korean cultural heritage, Professor Yu will communicate with the audience on the theme of "The Strength of Korean History and the Identity of Korean Culture" during this lecture, offering a special time to feel pride and excellence in our culture through Korean art history.

The lecture is open to everyone, and applications can be made through the Seo-gu Office website (Integrated Reservation Service) or by phone to the Happiness Education Division.

The Seo-gu Academy conducts lectures by distinguished figures to enhance residents' humanities knowledge and expand learning opportunities.

Especially since the 8th local government term, it has invited renowned lecturers who are popularly loved to increase resident satisfaction.

The 115th Seo-gu Academy, scheduled for September 5, will invite Professor Choi Incheol, director of the Seoul National University Happiness Research Center, to have a time to reflect on the meaning of happiness.
