'Incheon's Talents, to a Wider World'... Incheon City Selects 25 University Students for Overseas Training
Incheon City is selecting a total of 25 university students to participate in an overseas training program as part of its talent development project aimed at becoming one of the world's top 10 global cities.
The city announced on the 15th that on the 12th, Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok attended a send-off ceremony wishing for a safe and successful overseas training.

View original imageThese university students will participate in a five-week short-term training program at the language institute of RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, starting at the end of this month. They plan to engage in various activities such as experiencing local culture and visiting famous sites.
Previously, the city recruited applicants for the overseas training program from university students aged 19 to 34 who graduated from high schools in Incheon and met certain criteria. Out of a total of 468 applicants, 25 were finally selected through document screening and interviews.
The university student overseas training program was implemented from 2017 to 2019 to help university students, who will become the future leaders of Incheon, broaden their perspectives. It was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed this year.

At the send-off ceremony, Mayor Yoo said, "We support exploration and language training for university students, who will become the talents necessary for Incheon to leap into the world's top 10 cities, so that they can broaden their overseas experience and develop a global mindset. I hope this overseas training will be a valuable experience that expands your world, and that you enjoy it safely and return healthy."
