Nowon-gu Operates Youth Lifelong Education Program 'Da Damda'
Applications Open from July 22, First-Come-First-Served; Project Runs for 4 Months from August to November
Last Year's Program Achieved Over 90% Participant Satisfaction, Expanded to 4 Areas Due to Positive Response
Operating 30 Programs Across 4 Areas: 'Nareul Damda', 'Urireul Damda', 'Miraereul Damda', and 'Yeogareul Damda'
Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it is recruiting participants for the youth lifelong education program 'Da Damda' project.
Conducted in collaboration with Korea Bible University, this project operates a total of 30 programs across four areas: 'Knowing Myself,' 'Understanding Others,' 'Preparing for the Future,' and 'Enjoying Leisure.' The aim is to support young people in broadly experiencing self-understanding, relationships with others, economic independence, and hobbies.
First, the 'Knowing Myself' area consists of ▲personal color and styling ▲career and aptitude tests ▲psychological tests ▲personal branding ▲picture book therapy ▲horticultural therapy ▲diary decorating. It will recruit 180 young people to provide opportunities to understand themselves more deeply and build their own brand.
'Understanding Others' includes five programs that teach psychological tests to understand others' minds and communication skills in various relationships such as workplace, family, friends, dating, and marriage, with participation available for 140 young people.
In 'Preparing for the Future,' 11 programs such as ▲asset management methods ▲economic education ▲investment techniques ▲housing management ▲learning multiple jobs (N-jobber) ▲legal education ▲ChatGPT utilization ▲metaverse experience ▲guest talk concerts will enable 355 young people to acquire practical knowledge and skills to prepare for the future.
Lastly, 'Enjoying Leisure' offers seven programs including ▲basic futsal lessons ▲knitting ▲digital drawing ▲plant cultivation ▲art stories ▲world travel to help 160 young people enjoy various hobbies and spend their leisure time meaningfully.
The 'Da Damda' project will be operated for four months from August to November, targeting 800 young people aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Nowon-gu. Applications can be submitted from July 22 through the Korea Bible University Lifelong Education Center website and will be closed on a first-come, first-served basis.
