US Media: "Trump Shooting Suspect Registered Republican"
Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was injured in a shooting during a campaign event on the 13th (local time), and the suspect was confirmed to be a registered Republican, according to a report by The Washington Post (WP) on the 14th.
According to the report, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stated in a press release that 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who resides in Pennsylvania, is the suspect involved in the assassination attempt on former President Trump that occurred the previous day.
Following the FBI announcement, WP reported that according to Pennsylvania voter registration records, Crooks is a registered Republican.

The suspect climbed onto the roof of a factory more than approximately 119 meters away from the stage where former President Trump was campaigning and opened fire. After the shooting, he was shot dead by Secret Service snipers, and an AR-style rifle was recovered at the scene where the suspect died.
