Former U.S. President Donald Trump was injured after being shot during a campaign rally on the 13th (local time), prompting American politicians who have experienced similar attacks in the past to unanimously condemn the act regardless of political affiliation.
Gabrielle Giffords, a former Democratic congresswoman who suffered a gunshot wound to the head during a 2011 political event in her district in Arizona, issued a statement on the day of the shooting incident involving former President Trump, saying, "Political violence is horrific.
